“Collective Exhibition by Three Friends” and “Solo Exhibition by Choi Sou Hong” open at Anim’Arte NAM VAN in August
Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macau Artist Society, the “Collective Exhibition by Three Friends” and the “Solo Exhibition by Choi Sou Hong” will be inaugurated on Tuesday, 1 August, at 6:30pm, at the Lakeside Gallery - Rooms S1 and S2 in the Anim’Arte NAM VAN.
The “Collective Exhibition by Three Friends” features a total of twenty oil paintings by artists Yang Yang, Lao I Wo and Sunny Sit, expressing the connection between people, external environment and spaces. The three artists are students at the Department of Oil Painting of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, each of them have their own “pictorial language”. They advocate the diversity of expressive and painting techniques and continue to pursue new ways of creation.
The “Solo Exhibition by Choi Sou Hong” features twenty watercolours by the local artist Choi Sou Hong, who has been dedicated to painting since his early age. In 2014, he suspended his work and furthered his study on painting under the mentor of the painter from Mainland China Ma Baiqi at the studio in Shanghai.
Admission to both exhibitions is free. The “Collective Exhibition by Three Friends” is open until 20 September (Wednesday), while the “Solo Exhibition by Choi Sou Hong” is open until 31 August (Thursday). Both of the two exhibitions are open daily from 11am to 10pm at the Lakeside Gallery - Rooms S1 and S2 in the Anim’Arte NAM VAN, located at Nam Van Lakeside Plaza at Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van, Macao. The exhibitions are open to the general public and artworks are available for sale.
