Macao with good results on its debut in the Global Muslim Travel Index to help attract more visitors

Macao was included for the first time this year on the world-leading Global Muslim Travel Index 2025 (GMTI) published by CrescentRating and Mastercard, with the destination’s efforts to cater for this travel segment recognized. The GMTI 2025 ranks Macao fifth globally in the Muslim women-friendly travel destination category, 16th in the overall ranking as a Muslim-friendly destination and as one of the top Muslim-friendly accessible destinations, all among the non-Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) destinations.


UTM held 2025 Graduation Ceremony, 367 Graduates embark on new journey

On 19 June, the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) held its 2025 graduation ceremony at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion. A total of 367 graduates from doctoral degree, master’s degree, postgraduate diploma, and bachelor’s degree programmes were awarded their certificates. This year’s ceremony was particularly significant as it coincided with the 30th anniversary of the UTM’s establishment.


UM Confucius Institute offers business Mandarin and etiquette course

To support the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Confucius Institute at the University of Macau (UM), at the invitation of MGM Macau, offered a training course on business Mandarin and etiquette to MGM staff. The course aimed to improve employees’ communication skills in Mandarin and their professional etiquette.


2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival offers additional performances for five programmes due to public demand “Little Chinese Music Troupe” Music Camp takes the theme “Journey to the West” to explore folk music

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, and organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival has been highly sought after for various programmes since the first day of ticket sales. Due to public demand, additional performances will be offered for the programmes Chong Chong's Hamsters, Bebeethoven, Poli Pop, Family Art Camp and Children’s Creative Camp. Tickets for the abovementioned additional performances and the “Little Chinese Music Troupe” Music Camp will be on sale from 10am on 22 June (Sunday) through the Enjoy Macao Ticketing.


2nd Macao International Children’s Art Festival brightens up children and youth through the arts

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government and organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival will be held from July to August, aiming at brightening up children with arts, encouraging families and children to get close to the arts and from diverse perspectives using all their senses, presenting a performing arts festival. The event is divided into nine sections, featuring a total of 49 performances and activities in over 1,000 sessions, including world-class performing arts, large-scale musicals, art exhibitions, a film festival, large outdoor installations, art camps, music camps, workshops and an arts carnival.




MGTO urges Macao residents in Israel and Iran to ensure personal safety and leave the territories as soon as possible

In view of the safety situation in Israel and Iran, Macao Governmental Tourism Office (MGTO) calls for Macao residents not to visit both countries for now. Macao residents currently in Israel and Iran are urged to ensure their personal safety as top priority and leave the territories as soon as possible.
