Stamp Issue “ Regional Medicinal Plants II”

The Seac Pai Van Park, in Coloane, Macao, features the Garden of Medicinal Plants, the Ecological Trail Garden of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, and the South China Medicinal Plants Garden. Hundreds of medicinal plants common in Macao and in the South of China were planted in the gardens to protect and promote medicinal plant resources. Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Regional Medicinal Plants II” on 20th April, 2020, this is the second issue of the same series after issued in 1983.


The transitional period for real-name registration of prepaid cards will end on this Sunday, the final call for completing the registration as soon as possible to avoid suspension of mobile services

In accordance with Law No. 13/2019, the Cyber Security Law, which has been effective on December 22, 2019, users of prepaid card activated before December 22, 2019, should complete the registration using their real name within the transitional period of 120 days. As the transitional period will soon end on this Sunday (on April 19), Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau hereby reminds the public again, those prepaid card users should complete the real name registration promptly in order to avoid the suspension of mobile services. Meanwhile, we all can convey this news about Prepaid Card Real Name Registration to the elders, students, domestic helpers or vulnerable groups. The Education and Youth Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the "DSEJ") has communicated with representatives of education groups and school persons-in-charge on the resumption of classes for several times, and has actively studied and drawn the plan for resumption of classes.A consensus for resuming classes in stages has been reached, senior secondary schools will resume classes first. For kindergartens and special education, resumption of classes will be handled in a more flexible manner, or it is not ruled out that classes might not resume this academic year.Schools can implement off-peak school hours in accordance with the actual situation of class resumption. Parents can also decide whether or not to allow their children to go to school. Schools can flexibly handle students’ reasonable absence.

UM, CPA Australia co-host online accounting seminar

The spread of the novel coronavirus continues to pose significant health threats worldwide. In response, the Department of Accounting and Information Management, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), University of Macau (UM), together with CPA Australia, recently co-hosted their first online seminar, titled ‘How to Become a CPA Australia Member’. System Maintenance of Social Security Fund on This Friday, Its Website and Self-Service May be Affected

The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) will perform network system maintenance on 10th April (Friday) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) decreased while those of commercial real estate loans (CRELs) increased in February 2020.
