IPIM Resumes Public Services Next Week
The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will resume basic services on 17 February. In coordination with the Macao SAR Government’s disease prevention works, facilities borrowing services (including six representative offices on Mainland being partially available with only telephone enquiry provided), application for joining the Enterprise Marketing Seminar Incentive Programme, mainland commercial and legal consultation services will continue to be suspended until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The FSS Office at Tap Seac to Resume Services Next Week and Contribution Period Further Extended to Mid-March
From 17th February, the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) will resume basic services to the public at its temporary office at Tap Seac. However, residents are still advised to cooperate with the appeal of the SAR Government and try to stay at home and choose to handle their social security services by electronic means. If residents need to visit the FSS office in person, please make an appointment in advance using their “Conta Única de Acesso Comum” accounts. The FSS also further extends the deadline for payment of contributions for the fourth quarter of 2019, employment fee for non-resident workers, and the contributions of casual workers for December 2019 and January 2020 to 16th March, allowing employers more time to handle the related services.

The Higher Education Bureau Resumes Basic Services for the Public
In compliance with the Macao SAR Government’s latest measures regarding the novel coronavirus epidemic prevention, the Higher Education Bureau (Address: 7th Fl., Long Cheng Building, No. 614A-640, Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, Macao) will provide basic services for the public from 17 to 21 February 2020. The Centre of Higher Education Students (Address: Flat B, R/C, No. 68-B, Edf. Va Cheong, Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida, Macao) will remain closed until further notice. As the prevention and control work of the novel coronavirus has reached the critical moment, in order to protect the health of the public and implement the preventive measures of the SAR Government such as avoid going out or assemble, local temples dedicated to Kun Iam cancelled the event, opening of Kun Iam Treasury, originally scheduled to be held at the night of 18 February and 19 February, hoping to reduce the risk of an outbreak of novel coronavirus in the community and to work together for epidemic prevention and ensure the health and safety of the public.
