These seminars are free and open to all interested. However, seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. For registration, please contact Mr. Sio at 8394 1233. Mr. Zheng has held numerous seminars on the topics of “Studies of the Imperial Palace” and Palace Museum over the years. During his visit to Taiwan in 2009, he lectured at the National Chengchi University on the same topics, receiving overwhelming response from the teachers and students. One is “Imperial Palace Protection and Museum Construction,” focusing on the relation between “Imperial Palace Protection” and “Museum Construction” and aiming to provide a better understanding for the public on the repair of the Palace as well as the arrangements of sorting out cultural relics, holding exhibitions and carrying out exchange programs; another one is “Museum and Intangible Cultural Heritage,” introducing the preservation of intangible cultural heritage at home and aboard, combining with the theme of this year's International Museum Day “Museum and Memory.” Besides, the expansion of museum's functions will also be discussed on the basis of comparing the museums in Macao to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. This activity is held with the purposes of not only enhancing the public's knowledge of the Imperial Palace and Palace Museum, but also promoting and improving their awareness of cultural relic preservation. Seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Act immediately if interested. Further information is now available on Macao Museum's website www.macaumuseum.gov.mo.
