Visitors to Gongbei Port Underground Shopping Centre on or after 28 October must take the initiative to report and undergo nucleic acid testing for three consecutive days

Based on the epidemic notice of Xiangzhou District in Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre calls on individuals who have been to Gongbei Port Underground Shopping Centre on or after 28 October to undergo “three tests in three days”.

From yesterday to 15:00 today, a total of 499,079 samples have been collected from the citywide NAT, key areas and lockdown zones

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre indicates that the citywide nucleic acid testing scheme has begun at 07:00 this morning (1 November). As of 15:00, 263,478 samples have been collected from the citywide NAT and key areas, 212 from the red-coded zones, and 1,519 from the isolated persons in MGM Cotai, adding up to 265,209 samples in total. Among them, 66,456 samples have been tested, all returned as negative.


Daily rapid antigen testing required for all people in Macao from 2 to 4 November

In order to identify any potential infected persons who may be lurking in the local community and to lower the risk of viral transmission, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre requires all people in Macao to conduct COVID-19 rapid antigen testing (RAT) every day.

UM study enhances mixed-dimensional perovskite solar cells

A research team led by Xing Guichuan, professor in the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME) at the University of Macau (UM), and a research team led by Su Chenliang, professor at Shenzhen University, have identified a key factor for enhancing the photovoltaic performance of mixed-dimensional 2D/3D perovskite solar cells, which will help to promote the commercialisation of the solar cells. The research results have been published in the internationally-renowned academic journal Nature Communications.
