IAM continues to strengthen cleaning and disinfection of buildings listed as Red Code Zones such as Edf. San Mei On and Edf. Kat Cheong

Since this outbreak of pandemic, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has sent staff to the buildings listed as Red Code Zones every night to clean up garbage for the households. Thorough disinfection is even carried out for Edf. San Mei Onevery two days. Until today (18 July), more than nine tons of domestic waste have been collected in Edf. San Mei Onsince its lockdown; and about one ton of garbage has been cleared in Edf. Kat Cheongwithin three days since its lockdown.


Citywide NAT – Round 11 (15H00): 188,900 samples collected; 30,248 proved negative

With regard to the 11th round of citywide NAT programme, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces the following:


Rapid Antigen Test Reporting Platform had experienced slow upload speed and now returned to normal

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre indicates that the Rapid Antigen Test Reporting Platform had experienced slow upload speed between around 09:20 and 10:10 this morning (18 July), causing some members of the public to fail to upload their test results. After examination, no error was found in the system of the Reporting Platform. After reconfiguration, the upload speed has returned to normal. Investigation is ongoing for the cause of the slow upload speed.


Supplies delivery service of six Red Code Zones suspended today to facilitate nucleic acid tests of households

As the Health Bureau has arranged for the households in Edf. Vai Long (Bloco 2), San Tou Kock (Bloco 1) and Edf. Kat Cheong to undergo nucleic acid specimen collection this morning (18 July), the distribution of vegetables and frozen meat food packs originally scheduled for this morning has to be rescheduled to this afternoon.


The 10th round of Citywide NAT has ended, with cumulatively 5 tubes of mixed samples tested positive; Concerned NAT stations and sampling time announced

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces the conclusion of the 10th round of Citywide NAT programme, which was held from 09:00 on 16 July to 18:00 on 17 July, with a cumulative total of 5 tubes of mixed samples having tested positive.

Rounds 11-13 of Citywide NAT to launch from 08:00 on 18 July to 19:00 on 23 July

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that the 11th to 13th rounds of Citywide NAT will be conducted from 08:00 on 18 July to 19:00 on 23 July. That is, a total of 3 round, each lasting 2 days, during a 6-day period from 18 July to 23 July.


10th round of Citywide NAT has ended with 667,342 samples collected; cumulatively 5 tubes of mixed samples tested positive, the rest are negative; 11th round of Citywide NAT already started at 08:00 today (18 July)

New positive cases between within 24 hours yesterday (17 July)

According to update from the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, new positive cases within 24 hours yesterday (17 July) include: 14 cases in the Red Code zones and medical observation hotels, which were detected under the management and control; 4 cases of close contacts, 2 cases in the Citywide NAT and Key Groups NAT, and 2 cases among other population groups, which were found within the community.


Eligible seniors and people with disabilities can  apply for exemption from city-wide COVID-19 testing

After careful considerationof various pandemic-related risks and relevant factors, the SAR Governmenthas announcedthat starting from 9 amonJuly 18, elderly persons and persons with disabilities who have mobility problems and require long-term home care may, through their caregivers, apply for exemption from the city-wide nucleic acid test viatheonline platform athttps://iasapp4.ias.gov.mo/exempt-apply.
