UM study proposes technical pathways for achieving carbon neutrality in Macao

A research team led by Yonghua Song, rector of the University of Macau (UM) and director of the university’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), recently proposed technical pathways for accelerating the progress towards carbon neutrality in Macao’s energy system. The study of the research team, titled ‘Typical Pathways towards Carbon Neutrality in Smart City Energy Systems: The Case of Macao’, has been published by Bulletin of Chinese Academy of Sciences, a core media journal of the National Science Think Tank.


Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stresses that the authorities will never ask the public to pay fees or disclose financial account information via telephone or social media

Three key groups in sectors of security services, cleaning services and property management are required to undergo a nucleic acid test every day from 6 to 9 July

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as “the Centre”) states that the work of security services, cleaning services and property management is essential to the operation of the society and involves a lot of contact. According to analysis of the latest data, these three groups of people are at higher risk of infection. In order to protect the safety of staff in the related industries as well as the general public, it is necessary to strengthen testing. To this end, staff in three sectors, including security services, cleaning services and property management are required to undergo a nucleic acid test every day from 6 to 9 July and the interval between two tests must be at least 12 hours. Their nucleic acid test results are also counted in the mass nucleic acid testing programme and there is no need to repeat the tests.


Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau regularly announces the stock of KN95 masks in pharmacies

In response to the need for epidemic control in Macao and in view of the increasing demand for KN95 masks, the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau (ISAF) will make available on its website ( www.isaf.gov.mo ) every two hours information regarding the stock of KN95 masks in pharmacies in Macao.


A total of 50 tubes of mixed samples tested positive as of 15:00 in the 4th round of Citywide NAT; Concerned NAT stations and sampling time announced

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre states that the 4th round of Citywide NAT Programme was launched at 9:00 yesterday (4 July). As of 15:00 today (5 July), a total of 50 tubes of mixed samples have been tested positive.
