Apprenticeship Training Course

---

Introduction

• Apprenticeship training has two courses: “Electrical Control and Installation”, and “Electronic and Telecommunication”.
• Trainees who complete 2-year training and pass the test for professional skills will be granted a qualification equivalent to Form 5 and a certificate of professional skills.
• Graduates of the Electrical Control and Installation Course will acquire the same skills as required in the Skills Evaluation Test for Electrical Maintenance Technician – Elementary / Intermediate Level.
• Trainees who complete “Construction Safety Card” course and pass the test will be granted a construction safety card by the DSAL.
• A training allowance up to MOP3,500 per month will be given to trainees with an attendance of 80% or above.

How to Apply

Application Eligibility

1.  Holder of a Macao resident identity card
2.  Age of 14 to 24
3. Form 3 graduate / Grade 9 qualification

Required Document

1.  Application form for vocational training courses
2.  Original and photocopy of a Macao resident identity card
3.  Original and copy of qualification certificate(s)

Application Approach

1.  An applicant can visit Vocational Training Centre of DSAL, DSAL head office, Long Cheng Service Centre of DSAL or the Services Centres of IAM in person with the original and photocopy of his/her Macao resident identity card.
2.  By fax to: 28481363, with the completed application form, a copy of the Macao resident identity card and academic qualification documents to Vocational Training Centre of the DSAL.
3.  By e-mail to: dsaldfp@dsal.gov.mo, with the completed e-form downloaded from the DSAL website, a copy of the Macao resident identity card and academic qualification documents.
4. An applicant can submit the application form and relevant documents at the service counters of the Financial Services Bureau, the Macao Economic Services or the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute during the office hours.
5.  Enrolling through the Online Application System (available only in Chinese).

Quality Criteria

Services – Performance Pledge

1.  Walk-in application for vocational training courses – to be received within 10 minutes.
2.  Handling application for vocational training courses – within 5 minutes¹.
3.  Handling electronic application for vocational training courses (e-mail, fax or online application) – within the following working day^2,3,4.
4.  Publishing the lists of accepted candidates for training courses – within 7 working days^5,6.
5.  Issuing statements on attendance records of current or previous courses – within 5 working days¹.

Remarks

1.  In the circumstance when applicants bring all required documents and information.
2.  Apply to the courses including: Apprenticeship Training Course and Enhancement Training Course.
3.  Applications submitted during office hours or non-office hours will be replied within the next working day.
4.  Applications will be replied or acknowledged by an electronic mean (e-mail, fax or mobile phone message).
5.  The lists of accepted candidates will be posted in the Vocational Training Centre and a further contact by SMS will be made to accepted candidates.
6.  Counting from the next day after all candidates were interviewed.
