Primary Healthcare Outpatient Services

Service Introduction

Health Centres are district-based units providing community healthcare services with the following competence:

• Deliver personal healthcare services to individuals and families, including the provision of essential medications;
• Refer patients requiring specialist healthcare to hospitals and follow up on their treatment;
• Administer vaccines according to the Immunization Programme while maintaining up-to-date and accurate vaccination records;
• Deliver traditional Chinese medicine services;
• Plan and carry out health education activities, promote and oversee activities related to the health of physically and mentally vulnerable populations or the needy, especially mothers, children, school personnel, the elderly, persons with disabilities and those with drug dependence.
