How to Apply

Time Limit for Application

Applicants or their authorised persons shall apply to the Marine and Water Bureau 60 days prior to the expiry date of the licence.

 

Formalities and Required Documents   

Documents required to be submitted:

  1. Application letter signed by the applicant or authorised person;
  2. Declaration letter signed by the applicant or authorised person (declaration letter is provided by the Marine and Water Bureau);
  3. Other documents required by the Marine and Water Bureau.

 

Note:

  • The Marine and Water Bureau will require applicants to submit supplementary information, on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicants may submit other information which they consider favourable to the processing of the case.

Charges

Application Fees

Fees charged pursuant to the “General table of fees of the Marine and Water Bureau”.

 

Stamp Duty

Stamp duty is levied according to the Chief Executive Dispatch No. 87/2021, republishing the full texts of the “Stamp Duty Regulations” and its annex, “General Table of Stamp Duty”.

Payment method: By cash, cheque or electronic payment. (The cheque shall be made payable to “Direcção dos Serviços de Assuntos Marítimos e de Água” and it shall comply with Paragraph 3 of Article 5 of No.22/2008 Administrative Regulations, of 4 August, and must be a “certified cheque”.


Processing Time

Upon submission of all necessary documents, the processing time is within 30 working days, excluding the day of application submission.

Related Regulations or Requirements

The project shall comply with the requirements stipulated in Law No.  7/2018 “Maritime Areas Management Framework Law”, “Marine Functional Zoning of Macao SAR” as approved by the Dispatch of the Chief Executive No. 106/2024 and “Maritime Area Plan”.
