Service Coverage

Non-residents who perform the duties of an arbitrator in accordance with the laws regulating arbitration may apply to the Stay Subdivision of the Residence and Stay Affairs Department for Special Authorization to Stay for arbitrators according to Item 7, Term 1, Article 32 of Law No. 16/2021 and Article 26 of Administrative Regulation No. 38/2021 so as to remain in Macao to serve as arbitrators.

      Persons granted Special Authorization to Stay for arbitrators
2. Application Eligibility
   1. Meeting the relevant provisions of the Legal Regime of Immigration Control, Stay and Residence Authorization of the Macao Special Administrative Region (e.g. 1. in possession of a valid passport/travel document/identification document legally accepted for entry to and departure from Macao; and 2. not being subject to legal impediment.).
   2. Non-residents performing the duties of an arbitrator in compliance with Law No. 19/2019 “Arbitration Law”.
