73rd Macau Grand Prix Family Carnival coming up this weekend

The 73rd Macau Grand Prix will be held from November 19th to 22nd. To enable residents and visitors to experience its lively atmosphere in the lead-up to the event, the “73rd Macau Grand Prix - Family Carnival” will be held at Tap Seac Square on November 7th and 8th. No advance reservation is required, and all parents and children are welcome to attend.

The main theme of the family carnival is the 73rd Macau Grand Prix. The Guia Circuit will be replicated at Tap Seac Square with a mini racing track, with interactive games suitable for the whole family.

Children participating in the event can become mini racing drivers and workers at the race track. Visitors can gain a first-hand understanding of the various tasks performed during the Grand Prix, and learn more about racing activities as well as have the opportunity to obtain Grand Prix-themed souvenirs. Additional elements at the carnival convey the message of enhanced family life.

The family carnival is open from 2:45pm to 9pm on November 7th, and from 10am to 9pm on November 8th.

The 73rd Macau Grand Prix will feature seven exciting races: Macau Grand Prix – FIA FR World Cup; Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup; Macau Guia Race – Kumho FIA TCR World Tour Event of Macau; Macau Formula 4 Race – FIA F4 World Cup; Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix – 58th Edition; Greater Bay Area GT Cup (GT4); and Macau Roadsport Challenge.

In addition to arranging exciting events for the fans, the Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee has also organized a variety of activities surrounding the event, including the opening ceremony and Auto Show at Tap Seac Square from November 14th to 15th, offering residents and visitors a unique opportunity to take a close-up look at the participating racing vehicles.

In addition, from November 13th to 15th, and 20th to 22nd, Grand Prix-themed activities will be held at the “Art Everywhere – Cultural Vibes at the Weekend” at Anim’Arte NAM VAN. These activities will include interactive, family-friendly Grand Prix racing games and simulators. During the Grand Prix, large screens will be set up to broadcast the event.

In addition, during the Grand Prix, a cross-over new initiative, the “Macao City Culture Festival”, will be held from 14th to 22nd November. Through innovative cultural interactions and experiences, the festival will promote Macao’s valuable cultural resources that represent “China’s First”. Drawing on the city’s World Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage, it will highlight Macao’s distinctive character as a meeting point for Chinese and Western civilisations and foster the integrated development of culture and sports. During this period, the Macao Forum will be transformed into a “Time Square.” Centred on the theme “Echoes of the City, Harmony Between East and West,” the venue will host a “Reflections of the Mirror Sea: Five Centuries of Mutual Learning between Chinese and Western Civilizations in Macao” Themed Exhibition, cultural experiences, performances of intangible cultural heritage, and stalls featuring creative products. The festival will also extend to other locations, including Tap Seac Square, the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, the entrance to the Reservoir Stand, and the plaza at the Macao Cultural Centre. Additionally, a “Macao Historic Centre Open Day” will be held, featuring special access to various heritage sites, alongside unique activities and guided tours. The Macao Chinese Orchestra will also perform at the Ruins of St. Paul’s, showcasing the vitality of the city’s cultural and sports life.

The opening ceremony of the Macau Grand Prix and the “Macao City Culture Festival” will take place on November 14th at 3pm at Tap Seac Square. Residents and visitors are invited to join and experience the vibrant atmosphere of this culture-and-sports synergy.
