Goal This course aims at enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of resource teachers so as to use the effective strategies for catering for the diverse learning needs of SEN students in schools.
Message 1. Topics include the followings: 1.1 Managing emotional and behavioral problems (10 hours) 1.2 The support of Pervasive Developmental Disorder (10 hours) 1.3 The support of students with ADHD (10 hours) 1.4 The teaching and learning of students with specific learning disabilities (20 hours) 1.5 The support of students with giftedness (10 hours) 1.6 The support of students with sensory impairments (10 hours) 1.7 The support of students physical disabilities (10 hours) 1.8 Effective strategies and resources in inclusive classroom (10 hours) 1.9 The role and responsibilities of resource teachers (10 hours) 2. Assessment: Reflection (2,000 words), reading report (3,000 words) and action plan (2,000 words)
