Goal 1. Enable constructive self-reflection on teachers’ own teaching; 2. Engage teachers in employing MOOC/SPOOC and creating their own online teaching materials; 3. Inform teachers of current English teaching and learning trends and topics; 4. Reinforce teachers’ understanding and practice on cultivating student’s global competency.
Message The 8-hour training is designed and presented in the form of mini lectures, workshops, group activities and discussion on some of the latest trends and concepts in language education. Topics include but are not limited to: 1. Constructing a more effective and interactive classroom 2. Discourse and discussion on online teaching and blended learning 3. Introduction to ESD (education for sustainable development) 4. Introduction to competency-based English teaching and assessment 5. Topics raised by participants
