Join us for an inspiring workshop with sheng virtuoso Wu Wei! Experience spontaneous musical creativity as East meets West. Begin with the rhythms of the Dragon Dance and immerse yourself in creative expression using both Chinese and Western instruments.

Whether you play the flute, cello, or erhu, this is your opportunity to break musical boundaries, collaborate, and create spontaneous moments in real time, exploring a blend of tradition and innovation.

Target: musicians with at least 4 years of performing experience on any instrument
No. of Participants: 8

Remarks:Participants must bring their own portable instrument.

Registration deadline: 5 October. Please register at Macao One Account (Activity Application) and include relevant performance experience for selection. Eligible applicants will be accepted in order of registration.

Observers

Target: aged 15 or above
No. of Observers: 10

Registration deadline: 12 October. Please register at Macao One Account (Activity Application). In case of oversubscription, selection will be made by drawing lots.

Instructor: Wu Wei
Wu Wei is an internationally acclaimed sheng soloist, improviser and composer. As a pioneer in integrating the ancient Chinese mouth organ into contemporary music, he has performed with renowned orchestras and at prestigious festivals around the globe. Celebrated for his boundary-breaking collaborations and visionary approach to music-making, Wu Wei continues to redefine the possibilities of his art.
