Come and embark on a fantastic musical adventure with Wu Wei Trio, an unusual ensemble made up of a sheng (Chinese mouth organ with almost 4,000 years history), a viola and a double bass. The spiritual tone of sheng merges with the distinct and opulent timbres of the two string instruments, creating a sonic world you never entered before. They interpret works of European art music as well as folk pieces from all over the world. With its unique instrumentation and global repertoire, Wu Wei Trio redefines the boundaries of chamber music, always giving their audience an entirely new listening experience.

This extraordinary performance will present a carefully curated programme featuring a madrigal by Claudio Monteverdi, excerpts of Bach’s Goldberg Variations and one of Gabriel Fauré’s art songs, as well as Chinese folk music. All these musical legacies are reimagined through a fresh, transcultural lens and transformed into captivating soundscapes of unprecedented fusion and innovation.
