With their ethereal tone, exquisite balance and expressive power, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is one of the world’s most acclaimed choral ensembles, having won numerous accolades, including two Grammys as well as a Gramophone, a Diapason d’Or, the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and the Danish Music Award, amongst others. The choir will soon be at our shores with an extraordinary sacred music concert that bridges centuries of vocal tradition, featuring masterpieces by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Johann Sebastian Bach and Estonia’s national treasure, Arvo Pärt.

Palestrina and Bach’s works have stood the test of time as pinnacles of Renaissance and Baroque music, respectively. But central to the programme are the sacred compositions of Arvo Pärt, always forming the core of the Estonian choir’s repertoire. His distinctive ‘tintinnabuli’ style, marvelously blending simplicity with profound spirituality, has earned him a place among the most revered contemporary composers.

Let us have a taste of a transcendental world where Palestrina’s polyphonic purity, Bach’s intricate grandeur and Pärt’s haunting mysticism connect the ancient with the modern, the human with the divine.
