For many years, the Festival has been devoted to nurturing young local musicians, providing them a platform to perform and flourish, fostering a bright musical vibe. This year, six emerging talents are set to share the spotlight with professionals from the Macao Orchestra and the Macao Chinese Orchestra, confidently showcasing their musical and performing skills.

Each of them has been honoured with special prizes at the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition, starting with the refined interpretations by Wang Iat Ham Sabrina (violin) and Lam Cheok Seng (Chinese percussion), both winners of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize. The concert will also display elegant performances by Grand First Runner-up, Cheong Tin Ut (violin) and Wu Freya Ka Yu (guzheng); and by Grand Second Runner-up, Wong Hei U (harp) and U Weng Kei (guzheng).
