Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Galaxy Entertainment Group, the 2025 GEG Lusofonia Festival will be held in parallel with the 7th Encounter in Macau – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries. In this 28th edition of the Lusofonia Festival, a special focus will be placed on promoting Angolan culture with a presentation of local delicacies and visual arts. Cultural Booths from local Portuguese-speaking Communities from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, San Tome and Principe, East Timor, Goa, Daman and Diu and the Macanese community will be represented at the event, in which they will make themselves known to the public the music, dance, art, crafts, traditional costumes, literature, tourist information and even the snacks and drinks typical of their countries or regions.

Music and dance artists from the 10 Portuguese-speaking countries and regions have been invited, namely the São Tomé and Príncipe duo "Calema", the Portuguese singer "Marisa Liz", the Angolan singer "Rui Orlando", the Guinea-Bissau group "Memu Sunhu", the Cape Verdean singer "Josslyn", the Timorese band "Galaxy", the Brazilian dance group "Carimbó Paidégua", the Mozambican dance group "Tafika", the Equatorial Guinean dance group "Negros Unidos", and the dance group from Goa, Daman and Diu "Sanskruti Sangam". These artists, together with over 40 local Portuguese-speaking artists, will present a range of lively dance and singing performances on the main stage in the Amphitheater of Taipa Houses and on the secondary stage in Largo do Carmo. A temporary restaurant will be serving typical Portuguese specialties Portuguese traditional games, table football and various games for children will be set up for the public to participate in.

Over the years, the Lusofonia Festival has become an important event for sharing the culture of Portuguese-speaking communities with Chinese culture, revealing Macau's role as a platform for cultural exchange between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
