Timeline for the Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time for the Academic Year 2026/2027 – April Arrangements

The Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) reminds parents who have completed the Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time to take note of the timeline for the release of admission results and the completion of enrolment procedures for the 2026/2027 academic year. For admitted students, parents are required to ‘confirm online first, then complete enrolment procedures at school’. The DSEDJ and schools will release the admission lists on 8 April. Parents may log in to the Macao One Account or access the DSEDJ’s thematic webpage for Central Registration (www.dsedj.gov.mo) using their registered login method to check the admission results and obtain the First-Time Enrolment QR Code. Parents of both admitted students and waitlisted students are advised to take a screenshot of the QR code for future use when completing the enrolment procedures.

If a child is admitted, his/her parents must confirm their acceptance of a place at one school via the aforementioned thematic webpage between 8 and 10 April. They should then proceed to the school on the date notified by the school, on or before 15 April, to complete the enrolment procedures by presenting the First-Time Enrolment QR Code and the required documents. Each QR code can only be used once. If necessary, parents may obtain a new QR code using the same method.

Enrolment Procedures for Waitlisted Students

Schools will begin releasing the lists of successful waitlisted students from 11 April onwards. Parents may refer to the ‘Admission Information’ section on the DSEDJ’s website in advance to learn about the notification methods adopted by the schools for waitlist admission. If a child has been admitted from the waiting list, his/her parents should also present the First-Time Enrolment QR Code and the required documents and complete the enrolment procedures at the school within the designated timeframe.

Enrolling in Other Schools

There are sufficient K1 school places in Macao for the 2026/2027 academic year. The DSEDJ recommends that children who turn three years of age by 31 December 2026 should, as far as possible, enrol at the appropriate age. If a child has missed Central Registration, the parents can still complete Central Registration between 8 and 30 April by bringing their own and their child’s identification documents to the counters at the DSEDJ or the Parenting Education Centre in Taipa.

If parents wish to enrol their child in a different school, or if the child has not yet received an admission offer, they may check the availability of K1 school places at various schools via the thematic webpage from 16 April onwards, and approach the schools that are still accepting applications directly. For assistance in school place arrangement, parents may apply for the School Places Consultation and Allocation service by calling 8397 2309.
