Embroidery masterpieces from Chongqing and Xinjiang exhibited at the Tap Seac Gallery highlighting the charm of ethnic traditions as intangible cultural heritage techniques

Organised by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, the Chongqing Municipal Development Committee of Culture and Tourism, and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, coordinated by the Center for Ethnic and Folk Literature and Art Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, and co-organised by the Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, the exhibition “Splendid Colors - Embroidery Art Exhibition from Chongqing and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region” will be held on 11 February (Wednesday), at 6:30pm, at the Tap Seac Gallery. In order to allow residents to experience the embroidery craftsmanship, thematic workshops will be held on 7 and 8 March, in which intangible cultural heritage inheritors will personally introduce embroidery techniques. All are welcome to participate.
