How to Apply

Time of Application

Family members of Macao Resident Identity Card holders should satisfy the condition of ‘family household’ defined in Term 5, Article 2 of Law No. 16/2021. Persons who no longer satisfy the condition are required to cancel the Special Authorization to Stay for the purpose of family reunion at the subdivision concerned immediately.

Application Procedures and Documents Required

1. Application Approach
   1. Interested person or a legal agent making the application;
   2. The agent should submit the following:
      1. A certified letter of authorization;
      2. A copy of his/her valid identification document.
2. Documents to be Presented
   1. Unless otherwise noted, the original should be exhibited for authentication if a copy is submitted;
   2. The copy should be authenticated if the original cannot be exhibited.
3. Documents to be Submitted
   1. A completed declaration/application form (DARP/DARP M-3);
      [Note: The application form is available at the subdivision concerned and the website of the Public Security Police Force.]
   2. A copy of the interested person’s valid identification document  or passport/travel document (bio data page and used pages only, as well as Slip of Authorization to Stay granted in last entry to Macao) used for stay in Macao.
   3. Other documents as required.

Remark/Points to Note

1. According to Term 1, Article 66 of Law No. 16/2021, to apply for a visa, Authorization to Enter and Stay, Macao SAR Residence Authorization, Renewal or Extension of Residence Authorization means the interested person consents to have his or her personal information, which includes his or her biodata, treated by the Public Security Police Force.
2. Upon completion of the cancellation formalities, the original Special Authorization to Stay will be cancelled immediately. According to Article 37 of Law No. 16/2021, Authorization to Stay will be granted for the purpose of departure from the Macao Special Administrative Region.
