Service Coverage

Family members of Macao Resident Identity Card holders can apply to the Stay Subdivision of the Residence and Stay Affairs Department for Special Authorization to Stay for the purpose of family reunion according to Item 5, Term 1, Article 32 of Law No. 16/2021 and Item 1, Article 16 of Administrative Regulation No. 38/2021.

      Family members of Macao Resident Identity Card holders

      Persons granted Special Authorization to Stay for the purpose of family reunion
2. Application Eligibility
   1. Meeting the relevant provisions of the Legal Regime of Immigration Control, Stay and Residence Authorization of the Macao Special Administrative Region (e.g. 1. in possession of a valid passport/travel document/identification document legally accepted for entry to and departure from Macao; and 2. not being subject to legal impediment.).
   2. Family members specified in Item 1, Article 16 of Administrative Regulation No. 38/2021 should meet the stipulations prescribed in Item 5, Article 2 of Law No. 16/2021.
