Macao Institute for Tourism Studies organises Virtual Open Day for the first time

This year is the 26th Anniversary of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) and from September onwards, a series of activities will be held to celebrate this important event. The Open Day, one of the main activities, is organized for the first time in an online mode and it will be live-streamed on the Institute Instagram (iftm_macao) on 25 September at 3pm. Students, parents, and the public are welcome to join and learn more about the admissions, teaching and campus facilities through this activity.

IFTM academics and students will be acting as ambassadors of the online Open Day. Through short videos and fascinating discussion, the audience will be led on an online tour to see the environment and facilities of the Mong-Háand Taipa campuses; classrooms, library, student hostel, sports facilities, as well as the Educational Restaurant and Educational Hotel, where students will apply what they have learnt into practice, will be shown. The iRetail Lab, which will be officially opened soon, will also be revealed to the public firsthand at the online Open Day.

In order to let students and parents understand more about teaching and learning at IFTM, during the online Open Day, current students will be invited to share their practical learning experience and interact with the audience. Information regarding various degree programmes will be introduced, including new and recently revamped programmes such as the BSc Cultural and Heritage Management programme, in the field of cultural and creative industry and the newly launched MSc International Gastronomy programme. In addition, students will be introduced to the scholarships and various opportunities for community participation as well as practical training.

Several rounds of lucky draws will be held during the online Open Day. The prize is one night suite accommodation at the IFTM Educational Hotel including breakfast for two. For more details of the event, please visit the IFTM IG or call the Public Relations team at 85983143 for more information.
