The development of children's art is an important and ongoing project to popularise the arts in the city. Committed to building Macau into a “City of Reading”, the Cultural Affairs Bureau organises thematic book promotions from various fields of knowledge to promote an atmosphere of reading for all and enrich readers’ reading choices. In response to this year’s Macao International Children’s Arts Festival, the Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau is recommending about 80 books, covering collections on symphony, ballet, puppetry, history of Chinese and Western music and musical instruments, dialogue between music and literature, children and music, art therapy, parent-child art, etc., so that readers can experience the integration of art and reading into life, and feel the beauty and encouragement that happiness, kindness and love bring to people!
