This sharing session aims to provide a platform for young Macao students who completed an internship at the Palace Museum this summer to share their learning outcomes and insights, as well as to present original videos about their experiences and student life during their internship at the Museum. The interns also have the opportunity to talk about the Palace Museum’s achievements in the fields of cultural heritage conservation, museum exhibition curatorship, and promotion of cultural and creative products, to allow the young people of Macao and the citizens who cherish the Palace Museum to have a better understanding of the heritage, innovativeness and promotion of China’s splendid traditional culture, as well as to enhance the public’s enthusiasm for and identification with Chinese culture, and to give full play to the power of the youth to engage in cultural promotion.
From July to August this year, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and the Palace Museum once again held the ‘Hong Kong-Macao Youth Internship Programme at Palace Museum 2025.’ Twenty outstanding young Macao students completed a six-week professional internship and cultural exchange programme in several departments of the world-renowned Palace Museum, namely in the Department of Cultural Creativity, Public Services Department, Court History Department, Archaeology Department, Department of Ancient Architecture, World Cultural Heritage Monitoring Department, Department of Publicity and Education, Exhibition Department, Cultural Relics Protection and Technology Department, and the Institute of Gugong Studies.
