Hong Kong’s Yat Po Singers present This Victoria Has No Secrets – their acclaimed original production, now distilled into a specially curated showcase. With nothing but the human voice, this boundary-pushing work of a cappella theatre breathes life into imagined histories and collective memory along the shores of Victoria Harbour.
Amongst souvenirs and old sayings, describing customs and coastlines, each song unveils a new facet of the city’s soul. Through pure vocal artistry and theatrical invention, this show invites audiences to sail the harbour and look anew upon Lion Rock.
The Yat Po Singers, Hong Kong’s first professional a cappella theatre company, was founded by renowned artists Patrick Chiu, Ng Cheuk Yin and Yuri Ng, with Ng Cheuk Yin and Anna Lo, now serving as co-artistic directors. The company is committed to pioneering original a cappella performances, nurturing emerging creators and performers, expanding access through education and outreach initiatives.
Co-organisers: Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
