The Cultural Affairs Bureau is committed to building Macau as a “City of Reading” by fostering a community wide reading culture and curating thematic book recommendations across various knowledge areas to enrich readers’ choices. The sustained development of children’s arts is also a long-term and meaningful aesthetic undertaking for the city.
To naturally integrate reading and art into daily life, the Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau is responding to this year’s Macao International Children’s Arts Festival by presenting a special selection of around 80 themed titles. The featured books cover a wide range of topics, including traditional Chinese culture, intangible cultural heritage, puppetry, music, dance, theatre, children and artistic development, art therapy, and parent-child art engagement. Each book serves as a gateway to a beautiful and inspiring world.
Through this thematic book exhibition, we invite readers to weave reading and art into their everyday lives, to turn each page and discover the power of kindness, happiness, and love, the values that truly inspire and illuminate our lives.
