First Cohort of “Macao Signatures” Announced: Joining Efforts to Unlock Brand Opportunities and Advance Quality Development

The DSEDT’s Deputy Director, Mr. U U Sang, the designer of the “Macao Signature Programme” logo and other guests pose with the first cohort of brand enterprises and livestreaming salespersons selected as Macao Signatures

The Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) held the induction ceremony for “Macao Signature” at Cotai Expo at The Venetian Macao today (23). In the presence of more than 100 guests from the business community, major cross-border e-commerce and social media platforms of the Mainland, and representatives of brand enterprises, 20 brand enterprises and 10 livestreaming salespersons were selected as the first cohort of “Macao Signatures”.

Bringing Together Diverse Potential to Unlock Brand Opportunities

To strengthen brand building and expand into international markets, while making full use of Macao’s unique strengths as a bridge linking the Mainland and the rest of the world and serving as a node in the domestic and international dual circulation, the DSEDT launched the “Macao Signature Programme” in June this year.

Since its launch, the programme has attracted broad attention and enthusiastic participation from the industry. The selection committee selected 20 brand enterprises and 10 livestreaming salespersons as the first cohort of “Macao Signatures”. The selected brand enterprises represent a range of sectors, including health and wellness products, food, beverages, jewellery, and aromatherapy essential oils. Their products are sold in markets including the Mainland, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas. The selected livestreaming salespersons have experience selling products through major e-commerce and social media platforms of the Mainland.

Telling the Good Stories of Macao Brands to Raise International Profile

In his remarks, the DSEDT’s Deputy Director, Mr. U U Sang, said that the first cohort of selected brand enterprises offers a diverse range of products, while the livestreaming salespersons each have distinctive profiles—together demonstrating Macao’s strong potential for innovation and diversified development. He expressed his hope that the selectees would make effective use of the official “Macao Signature” logo, closely aligning it with the value and strengths of their products and personal IP. By making good use of online and offline platforms at home and abroad, they can tell the good stories of Macao brands and further raise international awareness of products from Macao brands.

Seizing National Development Opportunities to Achieve Quality Advancement Together

This year marks the first year of the Macao SAR’s Third Five-Year Plan. The SAR Government will firmly seize the major opportunities arising from the country’s high-quality development and make solid progress in promoting appropriately diversified economic development. Through “Macao Signature”, the DSEDT will work with outstanding local brand enterprises and livestreaming salespersons to “go global”. While exploring broader markets, they will continue to improve the quality of products and services, build positive brand images and credibility, and drive qualitative advances in brands and markets, thereby creating together a new landscape for development.
