Target Participants: Aged 16 or above with at least 2 years of dance or acting experience

This workshop takes participants onan imaginative exploration, followed by an examination of some choreographies from The Fury of My Thoughts, an immersive gaze into the powerful use of movement and non-verbal expression as a way to develop a theatrical dramaturgy. At the end, the instructor will discuss the artistic challenges she faced when staging the choreography through music, words and movement, encompassing multiple layers of expression.

Instructor: Anne Thériault
A choreographer, performer and pedagogue, Anne Thériault has collaborated with multi-faceted artists across numerous performing arts disciplines since 2005. Her works have been presented in Québec and abroad, most notably at the Festival TransAmériques in Montréal. Anne is a co-founder ofLorganisme, a structure for choreographers founded in Canadaand also teaches aspiring performers as part of the Dance Department – University of Quebec in Montréal.

Remarks:

  1. Participants are required to wear comfortable clothing and to be barefoot or wearing socks;
  2. Participants are welcome to bring their own high-heeled shoes to experience selected dance steps;
  3. Participants are recommended to bring their own drinking water.

The deadline for registration is 16 May. Please submit your dance or acting experience upon registration for selection purpose. Eligible applicants will be accepted according to the registration order. Accepted applicants will be notified by SMS and will have to pay the fee via the Macao One Account application by the appointed date.
