In this physical workshop, the versatile creative mind of Victor Hugo Pontes will be sharing how performers may use physical movement, acting and emotions to connect with the audience, seen by Pontes as active participants.
Instructor: Victor Hugo Pontes
Currently the artistic director of Nome Próprio (My Own Name), Pontes studied fine arts and took courses in acting, theatre theory, choreography and directing. Since he became a choreographer in 2003, Pontes has been acclaimed by media and critics and his works were invited to be staged in France, Germany, Russia, Austria, Brazil amongst other countries. He has been a professor on the theatre course at the University of Minho since 2012 and regularly collaborates with other educational institutions.
Remarks:
- Participants are required to wear comfortable clothing and be barefoot or wearing socks;
- Participants are recommended to bring their own water bottles.
The deadline for registration is 5 May. Please submit your dance experience upon registration for selection purpose. Eligible applicants will be accepted according to the registration order. Accepted applicants will be notified by SMS and will have to pay the fee via the Activity Application in Macao One Account by the appointed date.
