This year, the Macao International Children’s Film Festival invites you to embark on a heartfelt journey of ‘growth, communication and heritage’. Through a hand-picked selection of world cinema, the festival will share the pains and transformations of growing up, revealing how the wisdom of grown-ups meets the brave spirit of children to create a warm legacy through the magic of film.
Screenings have been scheduled based on the three themes: ‘Growth Day’ captures children’s courage to transform; ‘Communication Day’ focuses on understanding within the family; and ‘Heritage Day’ celebrates dreams and the continuity of wisdom through a classic film series. Outdoor and community screenings will continue to bring cinema into libraries, museums, and bookstores. These sessions, paired with post-screening chats, are designed to spark wonderful new conversations between parents and children through the power of film.
