This event aims to guide participants in exploring Macao’s “China’s First”. The theme of this workshop is “Movable Type Printing Books”. The instructor will introduce the history of Macao printing the first book using movable type in 1588, explaining how Western movable-type printing was born in Macao. The picture book The Great Contribution of Movable Type Printing will also be presented in a fun and engaging way to inspire children’s curiosity through listening to stories, while creating a wonderful parent-child reading time.
This workshop will merge story content, extended thinking and creative practice, with the goal of teaching participants to use English movable type to print meaningful messages on greeting cards for their loved ones.
