The vibrant Brazilian rhythms are coming to Macao! Clapping hands, stamping feet, beating chests and snapping fingers – everyday movements are carefully choreographed, merged with voices and traditional instruments to create extraordinary music. Hailing from São Paulo, Barbatuques turn bodies into instruments, drawing inspiration from cultures around the world to forge a distinctive musical language. Spanning a quarter of a century, the group has performed in more than 30 countries and regions, bringing its inventive approach to body percussion to audiences worldwide, like the closing ceremony of Rio's 2016 Olympic Games.

As 2026 marks the China–Brazil Cultural Year, Barbatuques makes its Macao debut with a high-energy, rhythm-driven show. Featuring signature highlights from across the group's repertoire alongside their latest work, the programme alternates between razor-tight ensemble performances and standout solo moments, with improvisation and live interaction adding further spontaneity. Expect ever-changing rhythms and surprises at every turn!
