Blending the refined language of classical music with the spontaneity of jazz and a hint of world music, LST – Lisboa String Trio brings us Concrete Songs and Other Stories. Anchored in the double bass and guitar, the ensemble added the exoticism of the lute and the sitar as well as dexterous percussion by the Catalan Marc Planells. Remaining grounded in their instrumental roots, the trio invited Sofia Vitória, a jazz-trained vocalist, to explore new approaches, using her voice as an added instrument on their very first Asian adventure.
Featuring poems by João Monge, LST's journey to Macao pairs a seamless flow of lyrical depth with finely crafted musicianship – offering a compelling listening experience. A rainbow of sounds and words that will transport us to faraway musical landscapes.
