UM to hold exhibition titled ‘Fusion of Chinese and Portuguese Cultural Horizons in the Painting’

A calligraphy and painting exhibition titled ‘The Fusion of the Chinese and Portuguese Cultural Horizons in the Painting’, co-organised by the University of Macau (UM) Confucius Institute and the Macau Orient Painting and Calligraphy Association, will be held in the UM Wu Yee Sun Library from 16 January to 22 January. All are welcome.

UM’s Confucius Institute aims to boost the development of the Chinese and Portuguese cultures, to promote the education of Chinese language in the Portuguese-speaking world, and to deepen the world’s understanding of traditional Chinese culture. The exhibition will demonstrate the encounter and fusion of Chinese and Portuguese aesthetics and increase understanding of traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy among UM faculty members, students, and the public.

The exhibition will take place in Exhibition Hall 1, Wu Yee Sun Library, UM, and is open daily from 8:00am to 12:00am. For enquiries, please call 8822 8826 or email to cindykoon@um.edu.mo.
