Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) has issued typhoon signal No. 3. Affected by the tropical storm Wipha, weather conditions are unstable in Macao. “2025 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” ends earlier

Owing to the weather conditions, the “2025 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” has come to an earlier end, ahead of the scheduled date.

Typhoon information is on noticeable display at MGTO’s Tourist Information counters. Via telecommunication companies, the Office has sentcivil protection informationto visitors in Macao and Macao residents travelling abroad by mobile text.The latest weather news is forwarded for post on MGTO’s website and social media platforms as well. Tourism Hotline (2833 3000)operates 24 hours a day.

If the typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted in Macao,public transportation services will be suspended. Operations will halt at MGTO’s Tourist Information counters. The Macao Grand Prix Museum and Ritz Building will be closed temporarily, while the installation showcase and gift redemption service of the project “POP MART MACAO CITYWALK” will be suspended as well.

MGTO has held a work meeting with and sent official letters to the travel trade earlier, urging them to attend to concerns during the typhoon and formulate coping plans in accord. Hotel establishments are informed to place notices about the tropical cyclone signal in effect and Macao’s transport arrangements during the typhoon at their lobbies or visible locations. In accord with the weather conditions, visitors are reminded to stay tuned for weather updates and information about transport services and schedules through the tourism industry’s notification system for important information. The measures are made to facilitate visitors’ timely rearrangement of their itinerary to be least impacted by the typhoon.
