Representatives of the CCAC and members of the Monitoring Committee on Discipline of the CCAC Personnel exchanging views with representatives of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Commission for Supervision of Foshan
The Commissioner Against Corruption, Ao Ieong Seong, has recently led a delegation of the CCAC and invited all members of the Monitoring Committee on Discipline of the CCAC Personnel to visit the cities of Foshan and Zhongshan to learn about the development of integrity education building of the two cities. In addition, they also visited the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin to learn about the latest development of integrity building of the zone.
Firstly, Ao Ieong Seong and the delegation, accompanied by the Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of the Commission for Supervision of Foshan, Li Liqun, the Deputy Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Deputy Director of the Commission for Supervision of Foshan, Deng Zizhong and the Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of the Commission for Supervision of Shunde District, He Jiaqi, visited the Integrity Education Base of the Culture of Bronze Mirrors where they learned the traditional cultural concept of integrity, “using bronze and history as mirrors to learn from and reflect oneself”. Later, accompanied by the Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of the Commission for Supervision of Zhongshan, Cao Xin, and the Deputy Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Deputy Director of the Commission for Supervision of Zhongshan, Zeng Yingsheng, the delegation visited the Integrity Culture Education Base of Zhongshan City located at Shangyuan Public Cultural Centre, where they understood the design concept that combined integrity education, book reading, cultural and creative experience and cultural tourism and leisure. Ao Ieong Seong showed great interest in the two distinctive integrity education bases and believed that they had many good features from which the CCAC of Macao could learn. The discipline inspection and supervision entities of the two cities met with the representatives of Macao successively, introducing the practice of “not daring to, not being able to and not willing to commit corruption” promoted in the entire Chinese mainland and the direction of integrity building that stressed on prevention and education.
In addition, representatives of the CCAC and members of the Monitoring Committee on Discipline of the CCAC Personnel visited the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, where they met and exchanged views with Secretary of the Working Commission for Discipline Inspection and Working Commission for Supervision of Hengqin, Yuan Huaiyu, discussing the challenges of industrial development and youth employment within the Cooperation Zone. Together, they visited the Hengqin Planning Exhibition Hall, Phase I of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town, and the Service Centre for Economy and Trade between China and Portuguese/Spanish-speaking Countries. Ao Ieong Seong stated that it was encouraging to have witnessed the successful development of international higher education projects through joint cooperation between Macao and Hengqin, as well as the gradual realisation of the integrated development between the two regions. She also expressed that the CCAC hopes to collaborate closely with the Working Commission for Discipline Inspection and Working Commission for Supervision of Hengqin to jointly provide the safeguard of integrity for the development of the Cooperation Zone.
The representatives of the delegation of the CCAC included the Head of the Investigation Department3, Cheang Chi Un, the Head of the Investigation Department4, Io Fu Chun and the Acting Head of the Investigation Department2, Chan Seng Hoi of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The members of the Monitoring Committee on Discipline of the CCAC Personnel who participated in the visit were President Wang Yu and members Fang Quan, Tong Kai Chung, António José Dias Azedo and Tai Ka Peng.
