The 2026MFE is taking place from 21 to 24 October 2026
The Macao Franchise Expo 2026 (2026MFE), jointly organised by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao SAR, the Macau Chain Stores & Franchise Association, and the Macao International Brand Enterprise Commercial Association, will take place from 21 to 24 October 2026 (Wednesday to Saturday) at the Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao.
This year’s MFE will enhance cross-sector matching for brand exhibitors, with a particular focus on two signature sections: coffee and bakery. Leveraging resources from the 31st Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (31st MIF) and the 2026 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2026PLPEX), both of which will be held concurrently at the same venue, the organisers will establish a comprehensive end-to-end service chain comprising the evaluation and selection of coffee beans from Portuguese-speaking countries, brewing competitions, public tastings, and business matching sessions. This will fully showcase Macao’s role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries whilst generating greater brand exposure and commercial benefits.
Bringing together renowned brands from home and abroad to seize new consumer trends and business opportunities
With an exhibition area of around 6,000 square metres, the 2026MFE will centre on the Brand Studio, which comprises four main sections: Baking Club, Coffee Bazaar, Lifestyle Club, and IP Licensing Trend Club. The event will present leading and well-known brands from the Chinese mainland, Macao, and Southeast Asia, and other regions and countries, some of which will be making their overseas debut. Products on display will include new consumer goods, smart mobility equipment, homeware, and dining services, reflecting contemporary lifestyles and emerging consumer trends. The event will also feature original IPs, cultural and creative designer toys, IP derivatives, and licensing agencies, in order to support the overseas expansion of IPs and to explore new collaborative models, such as “IP + retail” and “IP + services”.
During the exhibition, visitors can unlock a themed check-in map across the exhibition areas and redeem speciality items such as coffee, bread, and IP goods by completing designated check-in routes. This immersive experience will encourage visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the exhibiting enterprises and event activities.
Extending the reach and impact of the “exhibition + inspection + business matching” model to drive Macao’s first-store economy and historic area revitalisation
To extend the reach and impact of the 2026MFE’s “exhibition + inspection + business matching” model to drive Macao’s first-store economy and historic area revitalisation, the organisers will arrange on-site visits to local commercial districts for exhibitors and trade visitors. Complementary briefing sessions, promotional activities, and business matching sessions under the “Scheme for Supporting the Development of Macao First-Store Economy” will also be held, to facilitate international brand exchange and co-operation and to attract high-quality domestic and international chain and IP brands to Macao, thereby unleashing Macao’s development potential as a regional hub for commerce, tourism and consumption.
