UM short film on mental health wins award at Asia International Film Festival

The Invisible Self, a short film produced by Moon Chun Memorial College (MCMC) of the University of Macau (UM), has won the Best Director Award in the University Student Film category at the 2024 Asia International Film Festival. The film was previously screened at UM and several secondary schools in Macao, sparking discussions among students about mental health and encouraging them to care for themselves and others.

Under the management of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) is unveiling a series of activities themed around the Macau Grand Prix in collaboration with several integrated resort enterprises in November, in active support of the 71st Macau Grand Prix, which will kick off tomorrow (14 November). As part of the series, a brand-new interactive installation named “VR F3 Pit Stop Challenge” is launched in collaboration with MGM. Several top-notch drivers who will join the Macau Grand Prix this year were invited to engage in the fun challenge today (13 November), casting the spotlight onto the Museums’ rich appeal across “tourism +” together.

Macau Grand Prix ensures safety by taking measures in response to weather conditions

The 71st Macau Grand Prix will be held from November 14th to 17th this year. According to information from the Meteorological Department, Macao is experiencing the effects of Tropical Cyclone Toraji, and there is a high chance of typhoon signal No. 3 being hoisted between 6pm and 9pm today (November 13th). Winds are forecast to further strengthen and showers will increase. After consultation with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee (MGPOC) has determined that the event will continue under typhoon signal No.3. In case of severe weather conditions, adjustments will be made to the event after evaluation. The MGPOC will remain in close communication with the Meteorological Department and will take corresponding measures to ensure the safety of the event.


【Grand Prix Month】Macao Grand Prix Museum exclusively screens “Macau Races On” to pass on the legend of Macau Grand Prix

Under the management of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) releases a brand-new short film entitled “Macau Races On” with a premiere held today (13 November). The film is screened exclusively at the Museum starting today. Audience will embark upon an enthralling journey of sound and motion pictures, as they buckle up for the electrifying world around and beyond the circuit. The film is set to ignite an impetus for motorsport and the culture of the Macau Grand Prix to race on.


Temporary measures to be applied at Taipa Houses on 16 November

In conjunction with the activities of the 71st Macau Grand Prix, temporary measures will be applied to the Taipa Houses, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), on 16 November (Saturday) from 12pm to 11pm.
