How to apply

Application procedure and required supporting document

 

Applicant must submit in person the following supporting documents to the Government Information Bureau:

 

1. A properly filled “Application Form for Periodical Registration”;

 

2. Please specify if the publication has a name in other languages, e.g. Chinese or Portuguese;

 

3. Please fill in the director’s name; and submit an appointment letter – co-signed by appointer and appointee –and a photocopy of the director’s MSAR Identity Card;

 

4. Please fill in the deputy director’s name (if any); submit an appointment letter – co-signed by appointer and appointee –and a photocopy of the deputy director’s MSAR Identity Card;

 

5. Please specify registration number of proprietary entity granted previously, if any;

 

6. Registration of periodicals must be filed by a managing person designated to represent the proprietor; in the case of an individual entrepreneur with sole proprietorship, then application must be submitted by the proprietor himself/herself. Firms or organisations must provide notarised signatures.

Processing time

 

Application will be processed within 10 working days, counting from the day following receipt of a filled application form and other required documents. Results will be sent by mail.
