1. Application form for extension of right of use of tomb for one year(009/DHA/DHAL);

2. A clear photocopy of the identification document of the applicant.

3.Supporting documents with reasons.

Documents required to be produced: The original identification document of the applicant is required to be produced.

Remarks / Important notes on application

Important notes:

1. The period of right of use of an ordinary tomb is 7 years. Within 3 months before the expiry of the right of use of the tomb, the person concerned is required to make an application for exhumation to IAM and select a date within 6 months from the expiry date for the exhumation to be carried out, or an application for postponement of exhumation for a maximum of 1 year can be submitted to IAM along with valid reasons and explanation;

2.If the person concerned does not fulfil the obligation to exhume the remains during the mentioned period and does not apply for postponement of exhumation, he/she is required to pay double the fee to IAM for extension of the right of use of the tomb for one year before the exhumation or postponement of exhumation can be carried out;

3.The one-year extension of the burial period is calculated from the expiry date of the tomb, not from the application date.
