Service details: Application for joint burial of the remains, bone remains or ashes of the deceased in a “permanent tomb” in public cemeteries
Target group of service: Individuals who intend to bury the remains, bone remains or ashes of the deceased jointly in “permanent tombs” in public cemeteries
Eligibility for application:
- Holder of the “permanent tomb”;
- After the holder of the “permanent tomb” passes away, the person concerned can apply for the joint burial of the bone remains or ashes of the individuals mentioned below in the relevant tomb. The burial depends on the actual usable space of the tomb, and cannot affect the structural safety of the tomb or nearby tombs, without prejudice to the application of the stipulations of Clause 3:
1) The holder of the tomb;
2) The spouse of the first person buried in the tomb or the person in a de facto marriage with the first person buried in the tomb;
3) A lineal blood relative up to the fifth degree of kinship of the first person buried in the tomb;
4) The spouse of a lineal blood relative or person in a de facto marriage with such a blood relative mentioned in the previous item;
5) The spouse of or the person in a de facto marriage with the deceased who was buried in the tomb concerned before 1 August 2019.
Result of service: Approval of joint burial in “permanent tomb”
