Macanese moviemaker races to the top

(GCS) Macanese moviemaker races to the top

Eight thrilling minutes, packed with roaring engines, daring overtakes and heart-pounding crashes, but also stunning visuals of Macao’s vivid urban landscape. “Macau Races On” clinched the ‘Best Event Film’ award in October, at the International Motor Film Awards 2025. The accolade acknowledges the singularity of the adrenaline-fueled legacy of the Macau Grand Prix, but also the decades-long love affair that filmmaker Sérgio Perez maintains with the city he calls home.
