Session 1 - Overview about the properties of sound through in-class practical exercises - Introduction to lab techniques for acoustic measurements and analysis Session 2 - Principles of animal acoustic communication, sound production and hearing - Lab recordings of animal sounds and introduction to simple experiments appropriate for teaching in classroom Session 3 - Overview about noise pollution, information sources on the topic, and consequences for animal communication and public health - Discussion about how to promote environmental education in the schools |
