Promoting Macao's MICE and Business Advantages in Korea with “Tourism + MICE”, Successfully Attracted a 700-Person International Conference in Macao
The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) participated in the “Macao Tourism + MICE Product Updates Seminar & Travel Mart” and the “Experience Macao” roadshow opening ceremony held in Seoul, South Korea, from 28 to 31 May 2025. IPIM introduced the attending Korean business associations and enterprises to the business environment, policies, and the collaborative development of Macao and Hengqin, highlighting the advantages and opportunities of “Tourism + MICE”.

Xplorer Symposia held at UM
The ‘Xplorer Symposia—Organelles: Structure, Function, and Disease’, organised by the New Cornerstone Science Foundation and co-organised by the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the University of Macau (UM), was held at UM. The event brought together 31 leading scholars from prestigious institutions around the world to explore the latest findings in organelle research. Among them was Randy Wayne Schekman, Nobel laureate and professor at the University of California, Berkeley.

Cultural Affairs Bureau organised the participation of art troupes in exchange performances for the programme of the “Culture Cities of East Asia 2025” in order to showcase the multicultural appeal of Macao, China
The opening ceremonies of the programme of the “Culture City of East Asia 2025” have been successively held since March in the Macao SAR, in the cities of Huzhou in Mainland China, Anseong in the Republic of Korea, and Kamakura in Japan. The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) was invited to attend these opening ceremonies and arranged special performances of Portuguese Folk Dance and Cantonese Opera. Through in-depth cultural exchange, IC hopes to showcase the profound cultural heritage of Macao featuring the fusion of diverse cultures, establish Macao as an important bridgehead for the country’s high-level opening-up to the world and a vital window for exchange and mutual understanding between the Chinese and Western civilisations, and tell stories of China to the world.

6 June deadline to form nomination committees regarding Legislative Assembly Election

The date 6 June is the deadline for submitting, to the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Legislative Assembly Election, application forms for the endorsement of a nomination committee. That relates to endorsement of those intending to form a nomination committee and run for the Legislative Assembly Election, which is to be held on 14 September.

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will upgrade the system for “Registration of Establishments of Takeaway Activities” from 7 to 8 June. During the period, online application and enquiry services relevant to the mentioned system provided on “Business & Associations Platform” will be suspended. The public are advised to pay attention to the arrangement.

IPIM Promotes Macao to Enterprises and Venture Capital Institutions in Beijing, Gaining Interest for Establishing Operations in Macao and Expanding Overseas
The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) was invited to Beijing to participate in the "Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit 2025" and the "27th China Beijing International High-tech Expo". During this period, IPIM engaged with over 20 enterprises and venture capital institutions, some of which expressed interest in establishing operations in Macao.

【4th inauguration anniversary】Macao Grand Prix Museum carries on motorsport culture in brand-new ways
In celebration of this 4th inauguration anniversary after the expansion, the Macao Grand Prix Museum (referred to as the “Museum”), operated by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), features special activities and offers free admission to the public today (1 June). MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes has arrived at the Museum for a closer picture of the public’s visit and participation in the featured activities on the day. She hopes that the Museum can keep enriching travelers’ experiences in Macao and engage museumgoers with greater educational fun through continued innovation and incorporation of new elements. The Museum is dedicated to preserving and spreading the Macau Grand Prix’s culture for more profound integration across “tourism + sports”.
