Making an enquiry concerning the investigation progress of one’s own case (whether it is under investigation / in the hands of the Public Prosecutions Office)


How to apply

Residents may only enquire about cases related to oneself, i.e. victims, guardians of victims, or persons authorised by law.

Application process and documents required

  1. Applicants have to go to the Judiciary Police Discipline Supervision and Complaints Handling Section and fill out the form provided by the Judiciary Police.
  2. Applicants should bring their identity document for identification.
  3. For any application by authorisation, the authorised person is required to bring a letter of authorisation.

Required processing time

Making an enquiry concerning the investigation progress of one’s own case (whether it is under investigation / in the hands of the Public Prosecutions Office). A reply will be given within 2 working days upon receipt of an application. (Performance Pledge)


Notes or application guidelines

Enquiry is limited to the phase of investigation only (investigation in progress / transferred to the Public
Prosecutions Office), but not the content or process of case.
