- Reporting in person: After detailing the facts of the case at the Judiciary Police Case Reporting and Emergency Operation Centre, investigators will prepare a written record of the statement and issue a complaint notification to the complainant.
- A Certificate of Case Reporting Record will be issued within 9 working days：
After filing a report with statement taken at the Judiciary Police, the complainant or interested party may apply for a “Certificate of Case Reporting Record” either in person at the Judiciary Police or through the dedicated webpage on the Judiciary Police website (online application service is limited to individual applicants only). Provided that the applicant meets all relevant application requirements, the Judiciary Police will issue the aforesaid certificate within 9 working days. - Making an enquiry concerning the investigation progress of one’s own case (whether it is under investigation / in the hands of the Public Prosecutions Office):
Residents may only enquire about cases related to oneself, i.e. victims, guardians of victims, or persons authorised by law.
Service targets and application criteria
- Reporting in person: No limit,
- Certificate of Case Reporting Record Application: The complainant or interested party who has filed a report with statement taken at the Judiciary Police.
- Making an enquiry concerning the investigation progress of one’s own case (whether it is under investigation / in the hands of the Public Prosecutions Office): Residents may only enquire about cases related to oneself, i.e. victims, guardians of victims, or persons authorised by law, and they need to fill an application person in person at the Judiciary Police’s Discipline Supervision and Complaints Handling Section.
Service Outcome
- Reporting in person: a complaint notification will be issued immediately.
- Certificate of Case Reporting Record Application: The Judiciary Police will issue the “Certificate of Case Reporting Record” within 9 working days starting from the first working day after all required documents are received.#。
# In case of online applications, the certificate cannot be collected on behalf of the applicant. Applicants must collect the certificate in person at the Judiciary Police. - Making an enquiry concerning the investigation progress of one’s own case (whether it is under investigation / in the hands of the Public Prosecutions Office): A reply will be given within 2 working days upon receipt of an application.
