Determined to fulfil her late father’s wish, Astrid brings together four prized Stradivarius instruments for a concert eagerly anticipated by music lovers around the world. She recruits four outstanding musicians to form a string quartet, but their clashing personalities and unwillingness to compromise lead to constant disputes during rehearsals. Unable to play together, the four put the concert at risk. With the performance in jeopardy, Astrid turns to composer Charlie Beaumont for help.

With humour and sensitivity, this French comedy portrays the relationships between the musicians, capturing moments that are as heartfelt as they are amusing. The four actors portraying the quartet, who are also musicians in real life, play their own instruments on screen, lending remarkable authenticity to the tensions of rehearsal and the rapport they develop when playing together.
